What if; Peres has the measure of the man?
Overall I like the various team members running Jewlicious and it’s often a fun read. Actually, it one of my regular reads and has been for some time. I would even go so far as to say I like all the bloggers at Jewlicious a considerable more than I have ever liked Shimon Peres. I am not even sure I have ever liked Peres but for all of that – don’t count on my support for calling Israeli President Shimon Peres to apology to Richard Goldstone for making this remark – (Ha’aretz)
Peres told his Brazilian counterpart that, “Goldstone is a small man, devoid of any sense of justice, a technocrat with no real understanding of jurisprudence.”
While it can be classified as an impolitic and blunt comment with little concern for ‘Goldstone’s feelings’ I do not believe its an entirely inaccurate description of a man who was participated in the indictment against a fictional Serbian character for war crimes against humanity in Kosovo.

I’ve never had much use for Shimon Peres. He always seemed a bit too willing to turn his coat to follow whichever path offered the greatest chance for power.
On the other hand, I think he’s turning out to be a great President. Now he has no power but lots of moral authority. And he’s using it well. (at least when he’s not falling asleep in public
)
